The sentiment is also from SU (I forget which set) and I've cut it out and embellished it using the Modern Label punch.

An anniversary wish
A very quick post (blogging in bed while gorgeous hubby looks after little 'un!) to show the card I made for my Sister's Wedding Anniversary.
I chose the Wisteria Wonder cardstock from Stampin' Up! as I knew my Sister would love it. The central image is from the new set 'You Are Loved', which is adorable, and I've added a strip of white satin ribbon and a bow made from SU's ruffled ribbon. The background is embossed using an embossing folder from my stash and my trusty Big Shot.
The sentiment is also from SU (I forget which set) and I've cut it out and embellished it using the Modern Label punch.

So many thanks!
It was my Daughter's 3rd Birthday last week and she received so many presents that I've still not finished making and writing the thank you cards! Fortunately I only have one left to do so nearly done.
Here's a quick view of some of the cards I've made.
These were all made using Papertrey Ink's Framed Out #1 stamp set and die, and the vine border die. I've used various patterned papers from my stash.
These cards use a sentiment from PTI's Think Big range and their Limitless Layers oval die which I love. The patterned papers are all from Stampin' Up! (Top left/bottom right = Spice Cake, Top right = Domestic Goddess and Bottom left = Cheerful Treat). I've finished some of them off with SU's Scallop Dots ribbon and Satin ribbon. Simple but effective!

Art and Sole Postcard Challenge Week 12 - Israel
Wow, I'm SO behind on blogging my Postcards! I'm also behind on making them as I've missed loads of countries so far; Belgium, Wales, Cuba, Switzerland, Canada, and The Netherlands. However, I do reserve the right to scoot back to one or all of them over the course of the year.
So, week 12 took us to Israel. I did a search for Israeli artists and came across the work of Samy Briss (sometimes known as Sami Briss). Born in 1930, he had his first solo exhibition in 1967 and went on to become one of Israel's most popular artists. I like his mix of Cubist and Byzantine styles as they end up looking whimsical and much like some of the 'whimsy' artists popular online today (e.g. Willowing).
This is my version of his painting 'Song of Love'...
...and the reverse shows the correspondence from 'S' to 'Min':-

My little Min(x),
I will be happy to help you drink said Champagne, as long as you don't expect me to drink it from your shoe - I know you've been on your feet all day and those shoes will honk! ;P
I see you're off to Turkey next week - maybe you could sort me out some 'delight'??...
Yours hopefully,

Fabulous 40!
Now that my Sister's birthday has passed, I can show off the card I made for her. She loves flocked paper so the Mocha Morning Speciality paper from Stampin' Up was perfect! I also used one of the papers from the Cheerful Treat Hostess set to paper piece the scarf and provide a matting layer. No 40th card would be complete without a bit of bling so I added plenty of rhinestones to sparkle.
